Recording said it was a courier claiming that a package was undeliverable, and to press 1 to update my address or speak with courier. Transferred me to a guy saying I took out a pay day loan 6 years ago that was still in default. I've never taken out a pay day loan. Do they really think people don't ever see their own credit reports? I know my open accounts and a pay day loan is nowhere on the list.
Same thing today-ignored the call, but curious I called it back--got "John with LNS"--last time I had something like this I told them I worked for Dept of Treasury and we had a trace on their call and location--they hung up pretty damn fast LOL
A company called Legal Mediation Services called , . He said I had legal actions on me for a payday loan I had in 2010. I did take a loan out in line but payed it back on time. They said I owed 1000.. On a 200.00 loan . I know it was paid and why did they not contact me in 2010. So I could fight it then . They told me I took out the loan so I have to pay it.. They told me they would be sending me legal paperwork to go to court and cover court costs . I told them to give me name of company I was suppose to owe . they said Business Management Group .
I got the same call today, ND when I asked what it was concerning they hung up , but I have gotten this call before and telling me the same thing. And it's been going on for the last 2 yrs. Calls from the same guy recognized his voice but different number. I have reported them to the district attorney that they are scamming people out of hundreds of dollars but keeping it under 1,000 so it can't be traced. The sheriff's in my area know about it as well. The sheriff confirmed that it was a scam. I wish these people would leave me alone.
