This number called our business today at 1501 hours. Caller ID only said "Framingham MA." I suspected a possible spoofed number from a scam artist. I picked up the phone but didn't answer immediately. When I did, there was a bloop sound then a second later a guy (or a computer made to sound like a real person) said, "Hi. This is John. I'm looking for the business owner." I sighed to myself and asked, "Who are you." A suspicious pause (perhaps the program was searching for the right response), then, "Capital Funding --" I immediately told "John" to F-off (only I spoke less politely) and slammed the phone back down. We have been inundated with calls from loan sharks trying to give us "capital" for our business. We don't have ANY loans, don't want any loans, and don't need any loans but you can't tell these persistent blood-sucking spammers/scam artists that. They just keep calling again and again anyway. For the heck of it, I blocked our number and called the number that had showed up in the caller ID. It kept ringing and ringing. No one answered. Yeah, they're a legitimate company alright. Real, reputable lending companies wouldn't need to hide their identities, would have real landlines, and don't use VoIP (and possibly spoofed phone numbers) to avoid the law.
Received a call from this number today 508-231-9006, left no message. When i called it back I received a recording about Car/Vehicle Warranty Information. UGH......these TM calls on my cell phone are really getting me mad. How many times do I have to enter my number in the DNC list(s).......looks like I may have to get a new number.
This company keeps calling and telling me it is the FINAL CALL on my car warranty. So I played along and when an underwriter came on the line I told them that I want the name of their company and I do not want them calling my number any longer. They said they don't have to tell me what their company name is. Really? If you are a reputable company, why wouldn't you want to tell me your name?
You can get all the new number you want and it won't make any difference. Scam artists like this don't need any list of numbers. They have auto-dialers that can call one number at a time. What you need is a call blocker, but even that's no guarantee because scam artists spoof new phone numbers constantly.
