Caller said my computer service was being interrupted. Got very defensive when I noted that a) they were calling on a private number that I had not given out and b) my computer was supported by the company I worked for.
caller said he was from Microsoft and my computer has a problem. wanted to do a free check up. I asked for his call back number, he gave me 855-481-and then the line went dead OR he hung up. He was calling from number 508 233 6185. Caller had a very distinct Indian sub-continent accent.
Foreign accent. Said he was with some BS "leading tech support magazine" and was offering a free checkup of my computer.
I laughed at him, said " yea, right!" And hung up.
