Ditto to all you posted! Have non-published ph #, on DNC lists, caller ID etc also. BUT have a Panasonic talking CID ph (cost was $100. & well worth it), which has CALLER BLOCKING feature which I find works better than anything else. Do NOT call them back, ans ph etc. Once I get 1st call, I block that # & when they call in future the ph rings 1 time then they get hung up on. This way I don't even have to leave what I'm doing only to go to ph to block that # before they call again. Well worthe the cost of this ph I have!!!
Got 1st call from #510-201-5507 @10;05am from "Service Call" Tues 5/8/12. I didn't ans it, but my talking Panasonic CID ph told me what # & Service Call was calling. So now all I have to do is BLOCK that # (my ph has that feature also) & in the future if they call, my ph will ring 1 time & tell me it is a BLOCKED call & hangs up on them. We get MANY of these type of calls & find NO other way to deal with them is as good as this. Well worth the $100. the ph cost! Hope this info helps others.
yes, i have that phone feature too, but that single ring can be a distraction several times a day, plus that can only hold a few numbers before it is full -- so i also use the att number blocking feature on my line, and guess what, that gets full too, so i selectively swap out the older annoyance numbers for newer ones (until they fade away, none too soon)
5102015507: shows up as service call. Lady called today, asked for my mom and said my mother gave money to American Homeless Veterans before. I told her my mom was not here and she promptly hung up the phone. I called back being the investigator that I am. She answered and I started asking questions about the company and she hung up. This is a scam that focuses on seniors and veterans. BEWARE!!!!!
