I got the same call today. Exact message as the above people. I called back and they make you believe that they are doing you a favor. I asked for documentation and they said it would be sent.
Hunter and Knight is a zombie or phantom debt collector, must likely a AKA of Weinberg Mediation. See: 515-200-7970 800 notes where both Hunter and Knight and Weinberg Mediation are listed as CIDs.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:

Nevertheless if you are being harassed by any sort of debt collector and you do not know the status of the debt, (and most debt collectors will not reveal anything about themselves at all) a complaint should still be made to the FTC.
In many cases there is a real question as to who, precisely, “owns” the debt in question. The law will certainly apply to debt collectors who in fact have no claim to the debt but are still trying to collect it. The law will certainly still apply to fraudulent debt collectors where the creditor has no legal interest in the debt at all.

Note that you can still contact your local state attorney general. Many states have laws limiting what any debt collector can do or say in the collection of a debt.
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand.
How do you know if it's a total scam or not? I have taken out payday loans before, but why are they just now asking? He couldn't even tell me who it was from, all he said was it was a store front and he didn't know from who and couldn't give me an exact date
Received a call on 6/15/17 and today 6/16/17. Her name was Karen Lewis stated from Hunter Knight mediation services. Said If doesn't hear back from me or my attorney waiving rights. I did not pick up the phone the message was left on my machine. Did not leave in the message for the reason of the mediation services.
