Yeah I just got a call from this phone number a minute ago. I have been getting a call from another number which I googled and found out was a collection agency. They asked to speak to Dan... told them it was a new number for me and I dont know Dan. Then about two hours later this number called me looking for Dan again. Told them the same thing. I don't think they are listening.
I too have been receiving several calls a day from this number...I never answer. Today I called the number back only to have some guy, (who was so tongue tied that he could hardly speak) tell me he's with Wells Fargo...The first thing he asked for ws my ss number..I lost it with him and explained I did not have an account with Wells Fargo...never have. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he couldnt connect me. I told him to take my number off his call list! Who do I need to contact to report this? Does anyone know?
Starting Monday 5/3/2010 calls from 515-222-6601, from Wells Fargo Bank began apearing on my caller ID. If you answer the phone you get a recorded message, if you let the call roll to the ans machine no message is left. We were getting two calls a day (today is Weds. May 5).
I finally called Wells Fargo Bank and choose the 'talk to a banker' option. Once inside their phone system I spoke to a guy named Josh, to whom I described the calls I was getting. Josh put me on hold while he investigated; when he came back on the line less than two minutes later, he turned me over to a lady named Alicia. Alicia works in Wells Fargo's Card Services Dept.
Alicia stated they were trying to reach my son, who at one time had some kind of Wells Fargo acct, but he says it was paid off long ago. Per Alicia, they had my home and work numbers; when I told her my son was not living at home anymore she offered to remove my contact numbers from their calling system, with the changes taking place after their system is updated at midnight.
When I asked Alicia why they want to talk to my son, she only says it is a personal business matter, and by law she cannot tell me why they want to talk to my son. That's nice....we have to answer all their questions, but the "law" says they don't have to answer our questions!
Sounds to me like it's time for another revolution in this country!
