I've received calls from 515-270-0779 the past two nights around 6:40 p.m. Tonight the call came in from 515-270-0780 and when I picked up it immediately disconnected. I hit the redial button and heard "This is ...(muffled), can I help you"? in a woman's voice, but I hung up. I have a friend who lives in this area code and thought it might be their new number. Obviously it's not.
They've called me at some really weird times. The first time they called, it was nearing 10pm and woke me up (I have to be up at 4am for work.), so I ignored it. Then they called me again the next morning at 7am- ish. I have to say, I' with Julia on this on. I was really worried at first. I couldn't find them on yellowbook.com. But seeing all this has helped tons. Glad to know it's just some poor sap trying to scam me because I'm getting married. Lol
I got a text from this number: "Hi! This is Stacy from Dinnwe4two. Just wanted to let u knw_ U&Ur Fiance were chosen from the 2 receive a bridal gift package! 4 all the details call 5152700780." Ok two things why would a company send a text not spelling out words like You and Your or two or instead of for they type 4. Doesn't make any sense. Secondly how did they get my number, I am also a client of David's Bridal. Are they giving out our phone numbers??????
I was called at 8:30 from this number. I was also texted previous day 515-707-3592 saying Dinner4two and they have a bridal package for me and would like to showcase their products. I found a sketchy website for dinnerfortwo and it's Royal cookware. What a crock! (pun intended). I am registered on David's Bridal.
We are getting married this October. We registered at Davids Bridal about 4 months ago and we recently registered at Bed bath and Beyond about 2 weeks ago. The calls started today. At first I was excited, but when they asked for my fiance's name, I knew that it wasn't something that I had registered for... I put both our names on everything I sign us up for so they would have had it. I checked online and found this blog. Thank you all for commenting and for not letting me waste my time. :)
Thanks for the info. I am getting married next June and I think my mom had registered me at David's Bridal as well. This is the only place I have registered besides theknot.com, and I know they have not given out my number. Got a call last night that I won something....I won't be calling them back. :)
