They have hit the entire Greeneville ,Tn area with these phone calls to alot of cell phones in our area. All of my co workers got the same message from a six digit number. They have not called my home number yet. There was a warning on the radio this morning about the mass calling in our area. This is definitely a scam of some kind.
called to say credit card was blocked from (unknown name) credit union (name garbled, couldn't make it out) and to call the security office at 515-414-2906
My husband and i recieved a recording stating that our bank card had been deactivated call security at 515-414-2906. They called the house phone then about 3 hours later called the cell phone number.
Received a call on our land line, then 15 minutes later on our cell phone from this number saying our credit card was de-activated. They gave specific info. on a bank in our area and we were instructed to call this number to re-activated our credit card. Funny thing we don't have a credit card with this local bank?! I hope the database from another company card company has not been violated to get our information. This needs to be investigated! The house phone showed "unknown caller" while the cell phone shows six numbers that didn't make sense.
