They did the exact same thing to me! Called saying I was being sued, that I needed to take care of this IMMEDIATELY or Else! They offered me no proof at all of this payday loan (the only one I ever took out years ago, I paid off), in addition, the woman on the phone was ugly, belligerent and cursing me because not only would I not cooperate with her, I laughed at her..HOW DARE I..lol
I have received several v/m's from this phone number, stating I was being sued! When i finally called back the number and questioned the woman, she quickly got very defensive and hung up on me. I have since received several more V/M's.
I recieved several calls from these people. They finally got me to speak to a person. They had my previous names, old banks and addresses and S.S. # . They told me I had a criminal case against me for a pay day loan I took out years ago but couldn't tell me why it wasn't on my credit report. They threatened me with felony charges so I scheduled a pmt. Thankfully, because of this site I realized it was a scam and was able to stop any transactions from my acct coming out and canceled my card. They called me again when there was a problem with my payment. If it's legit they can send court papers to my address. Until then I am thankful for this site letting me know that I was almost scammed. The company they have you sign documents under us PTI Consultants, LLC. This company is based out of FL and has no working number.
