Anyone else who gets these ridiculous phone calls should report it to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) at 1.800.366.4484 or at www.tigta.gov. I lifted this right off the official IRS website and this is what they said to do.
You're barking up the wrong tree. Callers are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law.
They spoof local numbers. Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated.
Call and said we are being sued by the irs , we should call back! Called back with a blocked number , no answer , I intend on calling them back and also reporting them, all a scam!
