I get calls from these people all the time. I have no outstanding debts and I don't have cable. They keep changing their phone number. I've received calls from: (718) 569-7956; (732) 941-0190; (516) 323-2641. I have blocked all these numbers. With VoiP, you seem to be able to spoof your numbers and ID anytime you want to fool the callee into answering.
I called them back and they asked for my phone#, the woman checked her data base and told me she can not find my phone# in her data base, then she asked for my social#, she must be crazy for asking me for that. yea right I will give u my social#.
I got a call from them asking for a Jimmy Sullivan, I said Jimmy no longer works here, he's running from the law. ( I have no idea who Jimmy Sullivan is). And I told them that he screwed us outta money too. But I know how you can get a hold of him ! I then tell them that he's going by another name, then I give them the name and number of my ex's boyfriend, lol.
This is a collection agency that represents any company that hires them. After cancelling my Cablevision (Optimum) account I had problems getting my final invoice for payment. After a conversation with a NASTY Cabevision employee, they sent me to this CBHV Collection Agency, who was actually very nice to deal with. It's definitely worth talking to them to see what company is giving out your information to call! Also, CBHV will send mailed correspondance to your address if you are on their collections list.
