I have revived many calls from this number as well, and am very confused with what he is trying to say and pronounces m name incorrectly but I know it is my name he is saying! Freaking me out...
Second call today from our friend "Patrick" (who has also named himself Michael and David in previous calls over the past two weeks). When the number called the first time the answering machine picked up and a voice said hello, my name is Patrick...; and then just trailed off into incoherent garble. When I recognized the number again I picked up. The man said in a staunch Indian accent: "Hello may I speak to (insert my first name...)" I said, please stop calling me, I would like to opt out of anything, just please stop calling me. I don't answer surveys, I don't have any money for you, please stop calling me."
Out of curiousity about 5 minutes later I called the number back to see what happened and the same voice answered the other end. "Hello?" I replied, hello, I would like to be removed from your list please, can you help me with that?" He said, "What list? what are yo talking about, this is a doctor, Dr. Anderson." My reply was simply, "well, Dr. Anderson, apparently someone is using your number as a scammer, because I am not currently affiliated with or in contact with ANY doctor for ANY need, and my computer is also running fine BTW. Apparently I need to do some investigating and turn this over to the proper authorities for prosecution of identity theft and fraud. Thank you for your time and have a good day." Then I simply hung up. If the number appears again on my caller ID I am going to turn the stereo all the way up to my favorite Slayer song before I answer. Hopefully Patrick and Dr. Anderson will want to have a sing along with me.
I have been getting calls from this number (516) 422-0111 NY and other numbers and even unknown numbers for a long time. He knows my name and offers medical compensation. He has Indian accent. I have asked at least 10 times for them to take me off their calling list. I am on the national DNC list... I have been hung up on 4 times when asking to be taken off their list, or met with silence. I'm so fed up! He seems to call at the most unconventional times, like when I'm trying to lay my baby down for a nap. Wish I could track this guy down and shove his phone up his a$$! :|
