It's a fraud. The IRS does not call you. Instead, they send a letter first, and make an appointment. In addition, they will also inform you of the reason for their contact. With reference to a Tax Report Period filed. If the IRS makes
changes to your figures, they are obligated to inform you, under law! You then have (30) days from date of notice, to acknowledged your wish to appeal, or object to their changes. You must however, state your reasons
then and attach any evidence to your allegation or counter claim? In either case, ensure you attach a copy to your "written correspondence" to the IRS, and send it via Certified Return Receipt! Ensure also you make complete
copies for your personal records! You'll find out the reasons later. In either case, the people at (516)453-6962 are phonies and just plain Marketeers.
Rachael calling again. Brand new number - same OLD SCAM.
They ask you to "verify" your card info - just the same old trick to get your CC info to steal from you.
Who would give a total stranger calling from a NON-WORKING number the keys to the Kingdom???
You'd HAVE to be a TOTAL moron to give these baboons any info. Even crack [***] have more sense.
Rachael has called from several different numbers too many times to count! I left a message for Mr. Lester Senior of the FTC (202-326-2632) and filed a complaint on line. It is an easy process. She has called from 516-453-6962 and several variations of 253-382-9903. Unless we all officially complain, I doubt seriously if anything will be done to stop these frustrating calls. Actually, I have little to no faith in the Government Do Not Call List or the FTC in general. Proof of the severity of these calls is obvious with so many unofficial complaint sites online. Maybe if we all harrass the FTC every time we get a call from one of these morgage or credit card rate lowering companies that aren't real to begin with someone will finally take notice. It does build a nice database for someone about when we are home to answer the phone or when an answering machine picks up the call, doesn't it. Call Mr. Lester Senior of the FTC (202-326-2632) and filed a complaint on line at FTC.gov please!
Have received multiple calls from this number in the past week , I have pushed # 3 to not receive any more calls , but they keep calling . I pay off my credit card monthly and never accrue interest . I'm not sure how my interest rate can be lower than Zero . When they called me today I asked the representative that question and they hung up on me .
I'm on the national do not call list .
Thanks for the FTC number , I've registered a complaint there , but like the rest of the posters I have no faith in the government doing anything except taking my money ... but that's another story .
