Just got a call this morning. Woke me up a little before 8am (so much for a possible "sleep in" day) ---Did not pick up, but phone went on voice mail while I heard a man in a very heavy Indian accent talking back and forth to another person . . . there was a lot of garbled static and a phone connection. It finally disconnected.
I did not answer the call, but wonder if it really could be Microsoft? Yesterday I got a new laptop and purchased/downloaded Microsoft Office for my laptop. They made me set up a Microsoft account in order to do that.
I too am getting the same calls. Blocked the number and now he calls on 585 636 4085 area code 516 is Nassau County Long Island 585 is Rochester NY the other end of the state. I called my provider and they advised me to file a fraud complaint at www.ic3.gov/default.aspx. This is the FBI Fraud site. I did that and received a complaint ID number already
