Got a call from a strong accented woman, claiming to be from the tech department, about warnings and alerts from my computer wanting me to turn it on. The call came in as "out of area" at 10:49pm. I told her the call was a fake and if there is a problem to call back during the afternoon or morning. I hung up.
female, heavy accent with very limited dialog. Idiots called about my computer. Said there is an issue with it and wanted me to turn it on. When I asked them what type of computer I had she just said that there was an issue reported and wanted me to turn it on to correct it. I asked what company she was from and she just kept saying it was about my computer. I hung up.
Male called and stated calling about my computer problem. I asked what company they were with and they said Windows Operating system. I asked for their supervisor's name. They asked if I was in front of my computer. I said, which computer is having a problem? They said the Windows one. I asked what brand of computer. He said that for a few days my computer has been reporting a technical problem. I asked again for the supervisor's name and he placed me on hold and then the call ended. I called it back but only get a message that the person is unavailable.
Received a call this morning -- same routine, my computer was being hacked. Male voice. Said he could provide my name and address -- which you could get by reverse looking up my phone number! Spoke in general terms, he was calling from the tech department, etc. I hung up!
