female, heavy accent with very limited dialog. Idiots called about my computer. Said there is an issue with it and wanted me to turn it on. When I asked them what type of computer I had she just said that there was an issue reported and wanted me to turn it on to correct it. I asked what company she was from and she just kept saying it was about my computer. I hung up.
I keep getting calls from the technical dept. about my computer sending our viruses, wrong codes, etc .I asked which computer they said the one in front of me. I asked which operating system I had and he replied windows 8. WRONG. I asked what kind of problems. he wants me to turn on my computer.. I just started telling them I know this is a scam and I am recording the conversation so I can report it. they hang up.
For the past 2 weeks I have been receiving calls from 1-516-864-5002. No one responds when I say hello. When I call the number back I get a message saying they are not available. This is annoying. How do I get this to stop. When I see this no on my caller ID I am not going to answer anymore. I do not know anyone in New York
Thank goodness I can block calls from my new phone. After blocking 219-548-9653 (Valparaiso, IN), I got the same type of call from 519-864-5712 (Brigden, ON), I got a call at 6:32 pm today (10/20) from a new number: Cellphone NV, (516) 864-5002, but it was a hang-up. I immediately blocked this number. For your information, I filed an official report with Microsoft (800) 642-7676 (Windows Tech Support) since these callers are representing themselves as Microsoft Windows agents. Microsoft is aware of these scam calls, and are working on the problem. Everyone needs to file reports with Microsoft.
