According to a message posted on the VFW web site this is a scam and the VFW is not requesting donations for the Boston bombing victims. Unfortunately there will always be some people that will try and take advantage of people's basic good nature.
These telemaggoters don't give up. It would seem to me that these operations tend to use the same service to make their calls. I say this because this is the fourth or fifth call today and about the third with a Nassau County area code.
You know, it seems every time I pay off my cards I get a flood of these new calls that I have to block. I wonder how they're getting my number? I never answer these calls...
