Called around 8:30 pm. I said hello and they said my name..I said yes, and a woman introduced herself as Joy, said she was calling from Women's Cancer Research...asked could she mail me some info about donations...I said no and hung up.
Repeated calls from this number, eventually answered, no message ever left. Very personable and congenial woman, identified me by first name. Requested a donation commitment, then passed a phone to a different woman for "confirmation". Equally friendly, but high pressure individual pushing to get a credit card number. This despite the first woman saying a letter would be mailed. No identification of a real "charity". Definitely a call to just let ring.
Per whitepages.com, Phoenix based VOIP with southern Arizona area code, phone high risk scam/fraud. CID WOMENS CANCER. Left no message. I blocked the phone number. Sounds like more criminals that need some time in prison.
Crooked THUGS, just called last night from a spoofed 623 area code and tonight a new spoofed number, everyday stealing money from gullible seniors to pay their rent and car note, ugh.
