Been getting these calls for months. Use to be a 480 number only, but now they have a 520 number also. I get calls from both every day. Do-not-call-list complaint does nothing. I listened to the whole robocall this time and he asked me to press 1 if I wanted to participate. Got a bad connection to a real person, who I asked to quit #$*# calling me. She said yea sure, and hung up.
Call my home number everyday have asked them to stop but they dont. What good is a do not call list if the country will not enforce it? I have two differnet companies calling several times a day I am so tired of this and it seems you can do nothing to make it stop.
After receiving numerous calls on my three numbes that are on the do not call list for the last two months, I decided to take the call today. I listened to the brief spiel (telling me AZ home owners will realize great savings if they participate in a 'study' - guaranteed btw. So I pressed 1 to speak with a rep. She was rude when I asked her to clearly repeat the company she's calling from "American Engery Alliance (like duh, don't you listen?)". I asked - and where is this company located. Click. Of course when you try to call the number you are met with the auto robo voice "we're sorry, you're call cannot be connected". I've been around the block a few times and am very politically involved. American Energy Alliance is an effort and offshoot funded by the Koch Brothers. I advise everyone who continues to receive these phone calls to pursue complaints with the 'do not call' registry people but also with your local representatives. Just because the Koch brothers are one of the biggest political contributors to the Republican party does not give them the right to ignore telemarketing laws like everyone else who must comply.
There's no such thing as 'pay a fee to bypass the do not call list'. They are NOT permitted to call and that is that. There is currently a company in AZ being sued millions because of the same thing. The AG of AZ has filed 11 lawsuits against telemarketers for this reason. However; since this particular company is Koch Brothers related, I doubt the politician who accepts donations from them is going to make their life difficult. It is American Energy Alliance - you can google them and see info on them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_activities_of_the_Koch_brothers
