Been getting these calls for months. Use to be a 480 number only, but now they have a 520 number also. I get calls from both every day. Do-not-call-list complaint does nothing. I listened to the whole robocall this time and he asked me to press 1 if I wanted to participate. Got a bad connection to a real person, who I asked to quit #$*# calling me. She said yea sure, and hung up.
I have the Digitone Call Blocker 10 and it works great for me. I just got the new model of and I'm very happy.
What I notice on this website is most people complain and are not unwilling to do anything about it. I say, stop your damn whining and do something about it. There are solutions provided from your local phone service provider, call blocking devices, and even smartphone apps to help block these calls.
I think I know what it is. I think most of you think because you're on the National Do-Not-Call List that's good enough. Well, it's NOT. WAKE UP!
I'm no lawyer but I do know in order to sue someone you have to show damages. How have the 'calls' ill effected you (other than being on the do not call register if you are)? In small claims court one cannot attach 'punitive damages'; thereby, expecting to see a settlement is extremely doubtful because you didn't suffer a financial loss. As for annoyance and harrasment - good question. I don't know the anwer. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to find an attorney who would take a class action suit (IF there were a possiblity of financial rewards) but ... American Energy Alliance is an effort of the Koch Brothres. I'm sure they have bigger, better and more expensive attorneys on retainer than any of us collectively could to fight them. Another person posted here the name of their statutory agent Patricia Bolstad at 602-274-1966. Call her office every time you get a call. A corporation must appoint a statutory agent in their state of incorporation whose purpose is to accept suits and complaints (among other things) on behalf of a Company. If she's inundated with calls, something MAY be done about it but don't hold your breath.
WARNING: Green Energy Scams: These calls are typically phishing scams to get your personal information. If you are in Arizona, I suggest you contact Arizona Public Service (APS) or Salt River Project (SRP) and they will gladly assist you by discussing current rebate programs and can provide you with a list of "Approved Contractors."
I have been getting those calls for a month or so, every day. Sometimes 3x a day. So, I took your advice and called 602-274-1966 and left a message saying I was going to call "Patricia Bolstad" every time they call! Thanks for the suggestion!
