This post is an example of the fine intellectual abilities of those with computers and internet access. This phone number actually is Geicko, although not only for billing/collections. So, if you got a call from this number, and you don't have Geiko, it may be that they misdialed, or have old information for one of their customers. You would possibly also get a call from this number if you were involved in an accident with someone who has Geiko.
Call from Geico, asking about my wife and an accident. After asking the representative about where the accident occurred I was given a location I told her that we have not been there in over 15 years. She then asked about the car we owned, I asked what car was involved and when she told me I told her that we did not own that make of vehicle. Bottom line they must have had a name and were cold calling anyone with the same name in an attempt to locate the person involved in an accident. The person was polite and I can understand the reason for the call, I would like to believe my insurance company would provide the same type service.
Geico courtesy call about recent changes I made to my policy. Not telemarketing or anything. Just an honest phone call. I think it was even a real person.
