Called yesterday and today. Didn't answer. Blocked number after reading the reports on this page.

This number called today. I called it back and the message says it is a disconnected number

i was called on my cellphone I didn't know this number but i figured if i wanted stupid unknown calls to stop id have to figure out who it was first. so i answered "hello"  (i have a personal rule of only saying hello once and not doing it a 2nd time incase its a machine then i just hangup)   2 seconds after i said hello and was ready to hangup a foreign man  said hello, then asked to speak to the home owner, to which i replied i don't own a home   then the man asked if i was a resident  and i told him that he called my cellphone not a house,   then when he finally understood that he had called a cellphone, he said "oh, how can i help you?" i laughed, said "you called me" and hung up      idk if its informative  but  its pretty funny

Called last night as a Solar company.  He confirmed my name and address.  Asked if my electric bill was over $100 dollars. I said no. He asked again as if I would not 'qualify' for free solar unless my bill was over 100.  I complied and said I guess so.  He then fished for my electric  company name.  I told him.  I told him I was denied a solar service before because of the tree cover.  He asked if I was willing to trim the branches.  I told him they were not my trees but my neighbors.  The call then went static and faded.   I tried to call back the number but it was disconnected?!  He did not try to call me back either.
It seems like he wanted me to say some certain words and confirm my identity.  The next time I will ask for the call back number and just call them back to make sure they are legit.

He was trying to get you to say "Yes" so they could splice that word into another recording to make it seem you had agreed to whatever the second recording was about.

Watch all your bills for unauthorized and fraudulent charges, and contest them when they appear.
