I got a call from this number this morning, did not recognize the number and didn't answer. They left no message. I enabled Call Rejection on it. If you have an Android 'phone on AT&T just enter that number into the Auto Reject list. That number will never be able to call you again. Ever.
Oh, my number is on the national DNC list by the way. That doesn't help at all because (530) 212-8082 is being used by a non-profit organization for telemarketing. That's why you get telemarketed at election time by non-profit PACs.
Political calls are exempt from the restrictions of the DNC list.
The DNC list is intended to stop or reduce calls from legitimate telemarketers (sales organizations).
Political calls are NOT considered to be "telemarketing".
Charities are also exempt, as are debt collectors and companies with which you have done business.
My question to you:
Do you really know the definition of "telemarketing"?
I don't care if a caller is selling products or politics. If they bother me with unsolicited phone calls I treat them all as telemarketers and put them on the reject list. How do you like that?
