I agree that bothersome callers should be blocked or otherwise rejected.
However, your misuse of the word "telemarketer" shows your ignorance of the purpose of the DNC list ... and perhaps your ignorance of other definitions.
If you want to complain, do so with the appropriate words, rather than try to mislead people by inferring that political calls or charity calls are "telemarketing" calls, since the latter ARE covered by the DNC list (at least, the legitimate ones are).
Telemarketing is the marketing of goods or services by telephone.
No other qualifiers apply.
Politicians and political organizations market their services with unsolicited phone calls, including "polls". So do non-profit businesses. Oh yes, non-profits make money and sometimes a lot of it, they just don't turn a profit.
The number (530)212-8082 started calling me lately. I don't know who it is so I don't answer it and nobody leaves a vm so I thought I would check on the IT and sure enough..... It is political robo-marketing or whatever. Can't really blame them- these are tough times and what else are they going to do these days to reach out to people who hide so well. But it's still so annoying, especially during an election year. Oh well, I'll just block it if it bothers me too much.
