I have started receiving calls from an alleged Harrison Law Firm claiming that I have a lawsuit filed against me. It was very scary because he had all my personal information. The one thing he did not have was my work number. I know that the call was fake because I have not done anything that would result in a lawsuit.
I received a call from 209 416-3888 on Apr 18 from Jacob Smith stating that he was from the Federal Law Inv. Dept of Oakview Law Group and that there was a lawsuit being filed against me for internet fraud, etc. I called him and he had my social, email address, address, etc. He wanted me to fax over my debit card info but I told him that I didn't have access to a fax machine that day but that I would do it the next day which of course I had no intention of doing. Another person with a totally different voice called me back claiming to be Jacob Smith and he was demanding to know where the fax was. I told him that he was not the person that I spoke with previously and this [***] cursed at me. I couldn't understand him at first because of his heavy accent. I called back and then another person picks up claiming to be the same person and I just let them have it. I Googled this Oakview Law Group which does exist, but when I did a company search, this person's name was nowhere to be found. I called this law firm and the person told me that this person does not exist and their area code begins with 916. He said that this is a scam and for me to not give them anymore info. The next day, I received a voicemail from a Travis from some different law firm from phone nbr 510 327-2278. I called the number back and a Kevin Peterson answered the phone, but this time he wanted to speak with my daughter whose name I included as a reference on an online loan application. I asked to speak with Jacob Smith. He told me that Mr Smith was busy. I told him that he was busted because this person works at a different law firm and when I call that law firm they don't have him listed as an employee. He got really angry and told me that I work and that's how they got my info and that I better pay this money or else I will have cops at my door to arrest me. I laughed and I told him that they are too stupid to even consider themselves investigators because for one, I don't work - I haven't worked in over 6 years and two, I'm on disability you damn liar! I told him to send his cronies over here and they are going to get more than a foot up their [***]! A few days later, I received a call from Alex Marshal phone nbr 530 336-5705. He recited the same script as the previous idiots. I told him that I wanted to speak with Jacob Smith and he said that Jacob Smith was busy with another client and that he would help me. I asked him what law firm he represented and he said the Harrison Law Firm. By this time I was really agitated, but I played along with him. He wanted my info so I told him that they already had enough of my information. I said to him, tell me something. How is it that this Jacob Smith works for Oakview Law Group and works for your firm Harrison Law at the same time? He gets annoyed and he tells me that Mr Smith used to work for Oakview. I calmly told him that he is lying and then I told him that I have a special message for him and his idiot people: "LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. JUST BECAUSE YOU JUST GOT TO THIS COUNTRY DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU CAN PULL THIS [***] ON EVERYONE ELSE! LISTEN TO ME AND LISTEN CLOSELY - DO NOT CALL MY DAMN NUMBER AGAIN AND DO NOT CALL ANYBODY ASSOCIATED WITH THE ONLINE APPLICATION THAT I FILLED OUT AND YOU BETTER LOSE MY INFO. I ALREADY CONTACTED THE FBI, CIA, SOCIAL SECURITY, THE FTC AND THEY ARE GOING TO FIND YOU AND SHIP YOUR [***] BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM! DO NOT CALL MY F'N NBR AGAIN! I hung up the phone and I haven't heard back from them since. I plan on changing my number because I don't want to continue dealing with this nonsense, but I will keep calling them to mess with them and give them a taste of their own medicine!
Yah he guy left a vm on my cell phone saying he was from the law and investigation department and if I didnt call him back immediately I would be legally prosecuted and it was very important I call him back at 530-366-5705. I just laugh b/c I get so many of these calls.
I am so glad i googled this number, they have called my work at least ten times today, the last call said that i have a court date tomorrow at 11 am and god bless me, but wouldn't tell me where. The number is a CA # and I live in a completely different state. I have told them numerous times that they can no longer contact me by phone and any other correspondence will be via the us postal service, they told me that i don't have the right to make that statement and they can call me on any number they have. Are you freakin kidding me I dont thave the RIGHT, aparently they aren't with a law firm or they would know that if that is the request i make then they have to respect that. I verified that if i tell them that they can no longer contact me and they continue to do so that is considered harrasment. You can't understand half of what they say, and the same guy calls saying he is someone different each time. I can ignore the calls on my cell phone, but i dont' have caller id on my work phone so can't avoid them that way. Not sure what to do to get them to stop harassing me.
The first voicemail they left me this morning, they didn't even give the correct phone number on the voicemail, I guess that should have been my first clue.
these people are calling me to. This is ridiculous that we cant even live safe in our own country. they have american names and work for an american company but yet they dont act professional at all. we are not safe in our own homes because of people like this. alex marsh and mike called me from 530 366 5705 i was scared but am no longer.
