Got two calls from this number today, but it shows up as +5305591657. No messages left either time. I dont want to answer it because Im afraid its some type of scam attempting to get my information.
Hi - this is a total scam. These people are getting our info off the internet. Call back and ask for specific information like 'company you owe', and an account #, then tell them that you are recording the call and will be giving it to the police department. I just went through this and today received a call from this number as well.
I have been getting calls from this number in the past few days. Somehow they know my first name. The first times they called i did not answer. The last time they called i answered because it said that it was a cell phone number and i wanted to know who the heck was calling me. They asked for my first name and when i said hello what do you want they hung up on me. I tried to call it back and it says that this number is no longer in service or it is disconnected. If they call me back again i am going to call the authorities. They call me about 7 times today since as early as 730 am til about 6 pm. I wonder if they are getting access to our phones to place long distance calls to other countries.
Simple, I got 2 calls from the same number and i have a device that will emit the loudest scream that will make the other end hang up, or just #60 and deail the number back when it rings once hang up and that number will be blocked, only works on land line phones. With cell phones just have a special ring tone and when this call comes in the answer machine and record this is to let who ever you are that i am dead and if you wish i can call you at dinner time..
When an unfamiliar phone number shows up on my TV screen, I quickly pick up the phone on the first or second ring, and then immediately hang up. If you answer and say anything -- even loud noisy whistles, etc. -- they then know it is a valid working number and will keep trying back. Usually after one or two tries where I pick up/hang up, the calls stop. Then I come in here to try and identify the caller and report it to warn others. I also notify the FTC. If I get a third call (hardly ever happens), I can also block it through my service provider. Just remember, once they know they have reached a valid working number, they will continue to call. Your phone number will then be sold/traded to all sorts of scam operations. It is disturbing to me how easily criminal/scam operations can get a legitimate phone number in the first place. Seems to me that once a complaint is made, usage of that phone number should be discontinued so they cannot call anyone ever again. Why should we (the victims) have to be the ones to block out numbers or suffer through these kinds of calls. Does not make sense to me.
