Caller spoke extremely fast and asked if this was 'my full name'. I said "It is, sorry, who is this?" They asked if I was still working as 'my job title', I replied "Yes, who is calling?" and they hung up. I have heard of similar scams calling at home trying to get you to say yes so they can record it and use it while applying for credit cards over the phone or approval for something. Did not even associate that until they hung up. typical questions for work. Tried to call the number back and received a busy signal.

There have been several telephone scams in which the caller tries to elicit a "yes" answer from the called person. Those scams have been around for at least four years.
The good part is ... Snopes states there are NO verified reports of people actually getting charged because of their "yes" answer.

Do you have any PROOF people have lost money because of the supposed "say yes scam"?
Interesting observation: There are quite a few reports of the "Can You Hear Me" (or "say "yes") scam here ... and those posts tell readers not to say "yes", as if many people have lost a lot of money due to that scam. However there are at least as many "the IRS called me" scams reported here ... but many of those posts ask "is this real?".
The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) reports nearly 4,000 victims who have collectively reported over $20 million in financial losses as a result of tax scams. That is a LOT more than the $0.00 loss so far verified for the "say yes" scam!
In any case, be careful!
