I have a pickup listed on Craigs list in Tucson and just got the exact scripted message to call the exact number in a message in voice mail. (Prefaced by "Hi, this is Jim". My phone doesn't show having received any call. (Usually that is a message from another mail box from within voice mail).. It sure looks like the object is to get us to call them.. I wonder if this is a way to get around the do not call list.. (If we call them, can't they then call us?) Definately smells wrong.
Since I have listed my bike for sale (in CA) I have received numerous calls from VA. This is the number listed. Refers to my bike as ".... a few questions about your vehicle". I have a bad gut feeling about this. Anyone have any info on this?

I have a Jeep listed on Craigslist in Orange County, got the same exact "Hi this is Jim" with a few questions about my vehicle script. Definitely shady.
I have an Expedition listed on Craigslist in Philadelphia, and I got the the exact same call as well. This cannot be a coincidence...there must be a scam happening. As Jim said, there is not a number in my recieved calls list, just a voicemail asking me to call this number. It has been busy all day...
