Just got a call from this #. Didn't recognize it so cancelled the call by pressing hang-up button on cell. Do Not Call Registry has never worked and, even if it does, I'd bet they are swamped with a billion complaints. I have call blocking but it is limited to 30 numbers. Verizon also offers blocking for 20 numbers for $5.00 per month. Talk about blood suckers. I read an earlier post about some call blocking apps which I am going to check out further.

Call hang upa t 412 pm PDT. Remember: Report to FCC. That is how they might be able to catch these crooks. Yes, the DNC list does work -- but not for thieves. Question: When do crooks abide by laws? Also, you answer and interact then your phone number is sold as "active" for money making they do. And, you did not know that robo calls are number calls, having an UNLISTED number means nothing. The machine clicks through thousands of numbers in a heartbeat. So, for those who said they never had this problem but it started a few years and escalated: guess what -- technology has made it so easy for them to do this now. Call blocking may and may not work. When the crooks think they are getting tracked, they change to a different phone number. So if you are naive and call the number and it says it does not work -- that logs that you called and adds you to the call list for more calls. Computers track calls in and out and around everywhere. Please warn the elderly and impaired not to pick up the phone and if they have no answering machine, hang up, do not say anything -- and get them a phone that has an answering machine. Screen all calls. It is really horrible how many millions or billions are sucked out of people who think they are legitimate calls.
Telling them to put me on their do not not call list or say any thing to them - they just call back.
I like that - its great - Man or woman :
I may have been born at night - but not last night!" Don't call back! Click!
I hang up the moment i know the subject.
These fake computer techs are just too dumb to realize - no matter how its said - its still not real
If I had the equipment to catch these people - it would be great to catch them - they call so often.
I would not be quick to blame a person or business for giving out your number.
Some of these businesses use random dial system, that just calls all number combinations using the same first three numbers...in my case that would be 860-555-xxxx
It could be as others have noted, they are using this system to find out what phone numbers are live or not.
