Wanted all info off electric bill. Said could lower rate for 3 months. Said she was calling from Louisiana. Never finished giving her all of the information she wanted. Hung up. Think it was a scam.
Recorded message left from "Mrs. Howard" about "the supply charges on [my] bill" and asked me to call back (a different number) with a copy of my electric statement handy. At best it is a fly-by-night company trying to recruit customers and at worst, a scam. I called my electric company to double-check. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER! If you do, they can switch you to another company without your permission.
This number and others claim to be calling about my Penelec bill. A bit odd since Penelec does not offer service in our area. When I've told them that they ask who my electric provider is. Why? So next time they can call claiming to be from the electric company that does service our area?
Got a message from a Mrs Somebody (don't remember her alias), but 'needing to discuss payment on my West Penn Power bill and asking me to call 724-870-4750 and have my last statement available and reference number W2714. What a joke - I do NOT have West Penn Power as my electric supplier
