Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Just got the same call. The connection was so bad it was hard trying to understand how they were trying to rip me off. He mentioned something about the IRS then put me on hold.
I got a voicemail message for which I couldn't understand most of what the foreign man said. I just caught words such as lawsuit filed, social security number, tax fraud, and also told me to take care about it at the end. I figured it was some fraud scam call. But I was curious to see what they'd say when I called the number back. It didn't ring or go through so I hung up. I was curious to find out though what scam they were going to approach me with. I guess it's all part of this same scam game that others have received calls on. I will call to report this scam too.
Hi - Yes thanks for the posts confirming that this is a fraud! I was told to call back 571-932-2012 as well. Since it was hard to understand what the man really said, I couldn't figure out whether to call them back or take this message seriously. I will try to report this scam too.
