Recd a call threatening to take me to court over a payday loan that was taken over 10 years ago. I've since filed bankruptcy and they tried to tell me that this didn't qualify. They said that my atty would have to contact them. And said they've attempted to contact me at places I've never lived or worked. They also said that they were collecting for a company that provided the money to the payday loan place but couldn't tell me who the payday loan company was. Contacted my atty, he said that he won't call because it's a scam and the fact that I've filed bankruptcy and that this is over 10 years old.
stated they were filing papers with Michigan dept of labor for wage information and contacting local county to proceed with filing affidavit for felony charges regarding payday loan. Have never taken one. Passed information to attorney, state police and atty general.
