Recd a call threatening to take me to court over a payday loan that was taken over 10 years ago. I've since filed bankruptcy and they tried to tell me that this didn't qualify. They said that my atty would have to contact them. And said they've attempted to contact me at places I've never lived or worked. They also said that they were collecting for a company that provided the money to the payday loan place but couldn't tell me who the payday loan company was. Contacted my atty, he said that he won't call because it's a scam and the fact that I've filed bankruptcy and that this is over 10 years old.
Same thing. Called stating I owed a payday loan from 2009 and was facing two felony counts. Also called my attorney who made a complaint to the Michigan State Police and State Attorney Generals Office.
I keep getting calls at work that there is a person named Monica Bell who keeps calling my work after was told not too and still continues to and left a phone number 586-382-9121 for me to call. I told her not to call my work and she stated that I owed a Loan from a company that I took it out in 2013. I have not took one out and also she stated that they were going to take me to court and file fraud charges on me. She stated the name of the company was Chaplan Services. Scammers, they need to go get a real job!!!
I'm also getting calls from this Monica with Chaplan Services. I have no unpaid debts, so it is clear that this is a scam. I will be contacting the attorney general about this.
