This is a fake, bogus call from scammers. No matter anyone says on this site, it is a bogus number. One fool said, "it's okay. It's real, i work here". Give me a break. I get these 'american expres' calls from all over the u.S. I do not do any business with them whatsoever. If it was truly american express, they would leave a message. My bank does when they call and i am not home.
I think this really is the AMEX call center, but for biz dev. They called from 623-492-4000 - I know this to be in the West Valley area of Phoenix (or it should be..) which I also know to be the area of Phoenix that houses an AMEX call center. Name read as (602) 537-9012 as noted above. Caller asked for business owner by name. I asked what the call was regarding - Amex. I then asked "Are you calling about an Existing Card or a New Card?" - responded with new. VM!
