Have had these scam calls from 607 271-9258 6 or 7 times before. These jerks
just wont give up. They know that I know they are scammers but will not take
my name off of there calling list. This time it was a female who insisted she was
from Microsoft. At least the other jerk said he was with a company that worked with Microsoft.
They want to put my computer into safe mode and then sell be a scam protection program before
they give me back control of my computer. Stay away from these scammers. They are bad news.
ive just had the same call from emanual pc.care he says can i log onto your computer help clean it and take away your viruses which are slowing it down his number was 01422893785 from hali
same thing happened to me, except I gave them access to my computer. I had second thoughts and disconnected. I hope nothing comes of my momentary laps of judgement.
I frequently get calls telling me my computer is slowing down because of viruses, and causing problems on my neighbour's machines. I ask how they know this and they explain that their software in the 'Windows Technical Department' has alerted them. I get as much information as I can, have a bit of fun leading them on, then tell them they are spies, thieves, liars and robbers and that their call has been routed to the Information Technology Police. Then a good blast on a whistle gets rid.
I have never succeeded in getting any telephone numbers. Here in UK the phone displays 'International:
: Out of range' and they hang up if I ask for it, so I cannot guarantee that it is the above number, but most times the caller has a strong Indian accent and the script sounds about the same. I reckon someone is selling a get-rich-quick package complete with script and telephone numbers to gullible greedy people. However, today when I asked the Company name I was given 'Emanual PC Care'. Note the spelling, and the fact that googling it gets you to a company whose name I reckon is being misused. Immediately I asked for their phone number they rang off.
Why doesn't the list below allow 'Scam' as a choice for type of call?
Messages from Alex Ferguson or Sam Bishop -- all Indian/Middle Eastern accents and never leave a message about the nature of the call, just that because of the sensitivity of the matter they are not allowed and that if I don't return their call, there will be legal action and they will call my work and home. Someone please catch these creeps. They call 4 times back to back and from different numbers each time -- then on the last call they leave the message... It is roughly the same time every day too...
