I got a call from this number on Friday, also saying I owed money from an Internet Payday Loan (which I have never had) - they had my SSN#, however, I have been receiving phone calls like this from various numbers for almost a year now. This is a SCAM!! Just because they have your SSN# does not mean they are legitimate. Do not give them any additional personal information and certainly do not pay them any money. Their tactic is to scare and harass people into paying money they don't really owe.
I rec'd two calls in two days from this number...one was on xmas day this year! I thought it might be a scam since when he gave the "information" about what the call was about there was static covering up what he was saying. and ONLY in that part of the message. So, yes, I believe this is scam, especially since this is first website hit Google.com gave when I searched the number
I have a VM from a Joseph Maxwell, in a trembling voice he said he was from check systems, well you can blah blah message all you like, I owe no one diddley squat, see you in court if you ever get round to it.... go on make my day.
I received a VM from a Joseph Maxwell 4 March 2014, stating that I had 24 hours to get in contact since he was representing Check systems and by law I had 24 hours to respond if not then, they would assume that allegations are true and will proceed with court actions. When, I called back the line is busy. No worries her.
