These people are phishing for information - do not answer their questions!
They have been calling for the past few weeks/months trying to get information from our users. They claim to have relevant whitepapers to send to us, but they require personal and business information from us before they can proceed. Each time they call they claim to be from a different company. They are definitely trying to extract information from our users, which will probably be used to either scam them, or to sell the gathered information.
Caller asked for our finance manager by name. I told him she was out of the office and offered to take a message. He then asked to be transferred to the IT Department. I said he could start with me, told him my name, and asked how I could help him. Hung up. Probably a scam.
Asked for one of the IT Department head by name. Told him that she was busy in a meeting. Then asked to speak to any IT department head. Told them I would take a message and get someone to give them a call back and they said it was okay and hung up. Reading what others have posted, I agree that it probably is a scam.
Received a call from this number. They are with HP trying to sell us their services. I've told them numerous times we are not interested and they keep calling. I just don't answer anymore.
As noted by previous contributors, the call is a scam. They'll call you every day and ask for IT department head. After you ignore their calls long enough, they start calling from another number. All we can do is continue to contribute the numbers on which these calls come in...and then ignore them.
