These people are phishing for information - do not answer their questions!
They have been calling for the past few weeks/months trying to get information from our users. They claim to have relevant whitepapers to send to us, but they require personal and business information from us before they can proceed. Each time they call they claim to be from a different company. They are definitely trying to extract information from our users, which will probably be used to either scam them, or to sell the gathered information.
As stated by others, they call every day, regardless of how many different ways you tell them to GET LOST! I've finally started answering when I see their # and say something to the effect of "Man, I've been trying to get hold of you forever! Your test results came back and things look really bad..." Usually results in a short call.
They don't need a "sophisticated sound level blocker", just a standard phone. Modern phone systems don't allow transmission of sounds at a harmful level. You did more damage to your own ears than theirs.
I get about 4 to 7 calls per week from this number, with different subject material (servers, services, part-time staffers, desktops, etc.) There is always a delay between the time I say Hello and someone comes on the line. This indicates an automated process that lines up calls for the purported sales person. SCAMMER Phone number used by a number of people, companies
Callers say they are from IBM. Not so sure about that. The 2nd time they call, the phone ID read: Shruti Tudaveka. Have no idea who that is. but they are spammers.
