607 723 9891, this number has called on several occasions with a AI voice saying they are from the IRS. which usually gets you attention but since i have not worked in over 3 years there is nothing to come after me for, I digress. The latest one stated that it is the final notice. OR what! they give no names or dates or who they are as to the name it is a total scam of some sort. At any rate I am going to pass it on to my CPA and let him know just in case. For those of you who are having this happen to you on your smart phone the best Free APP that i have found is called Mr. Number and will allow you to block all texts, phone calls and such with one touch very easy to use and will identify them before hand as well. try it out. i love it.

I received a call from this number on 11/05/2014 @ 0927hrs (PST) which claimed to be from Microsoft tech support. The voices sounded like they were from either India or Pakistan. The caller even switched me to a Supervisor when I began to question their validity funny how the Supervisor sounded just like the gentleman I was already talking too. I played along...First, I shut down my Router/Internet connection (in case I messed up somewhere along the way). I then walked thru the process with them, checking the event log etc. When they wanted me to go online I refused, they became more assertive claiming that I had malware, viruses, and trojans and that they could help me remove them, blah-blah-blah. As soon as I hung up, my phone rang with 607-733-1419 showing in the caller id. I didn’t answer that call and they did not leave a message.
My Antivirus, Web browser & Microsoft software are all up to date and running. I also have a good Firewall installed.
Never give any information or access to your security data to anyone that calls you first!!!
They need to update the call type and add PHISHING to the list, because that was the type of call it was.
Same idea, scammers from India. They tell you your computer has a problem, they are calling from "Windows", etc. etc. They are very insistent, I just hang up and add them to my blocked number list on my handset. I agree there has to be a way for the phone companies to trace them. Even if they are in India.
