Got the same phone call except I knew it was a scam ahead of time I told him I knew and he began to sexually harass me over the phone and even told me to [***] ... I had my few choice words for him and then blocked the number from calling again
I am constantly receiving calls every hour from this number. I can't understand the guys name bc he has a very strong accent. He tells me I am being sued with my ssn. If I don't return his call then he can only pray for me with the legal reprecussions I will go thru and may God bless me????
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Got a call saying someone sued me because i owe money. i got his call at 3:30 and He harrased me that if I dont pay $978.66, He is going to send the documentation to my local police and they will come next morning to arrest me. I payed the money but he said that the time was over and now case has been filed and the company has payed $3400 for it. so he asked me to give him $3400 and he will try to talk to court person to get my case back. At that point i thought it might me scam. I hang up and didnot pick any calls later that day. Next day i recieved call from 911 saying that they will go to my home to arrest me. Only option i have is to call legal firm and talk to the guy whom i talk yesterday. I didnt call them. Then they called me again and this time number appeared was local police department. I got scared and thought another moment this might be real. But i didnt do anything. Nobody came to arrest me. And i dont owe money to anyone. This a very big SCAM. They call use any caller ID to call even 911. Beaware. And they do say "GOD BLESS U" at the end of every conversation.
i got a call from this number after i applied for a cash advance first they told me i am being sued and next was told to pay 498.36 when i did they then said 978.66 and i was even too late to that.said i am to be arrested tomorrow in in morning by 11 am by local sherriff and federal marshal. was then told i would have to pay 3046.and some change SCAM
Said im being sued when ask from what company he said some cash advance place. I wad like that's funny because i didn't take no loan. Its [***]. I knew it when he said his name was Michael but your Indian.
