SCAMMERS! A real 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization would not hide their name and conduct themselves in the manner as stated by numerous victims here and elsewhere. They made a critical mistake by calling a secure WITPRO (Witness Protection) location where all incoming calls are traced to their point of origin and not by the spoof caller ID. The agency is now required to visit them.
I got this call, to donate, I said no, was hung up on. The number shows up being a VOIP number based in Endicott, NY... 15 min later, I get a call from a WA state #, a recording saying I was being sued/IRS audit blah blah, and read off quickly a bunch of digits I had no time to write down, but was exact same voice in the Endicott NY recording. So I guess if u say no, u get harassed...
This number called and it came up as unknown name on my caller ID. I immediately blocked it using my call blocker device that I purchased from Amazon, called it back a man answered and said hello and I just hung up. After reading the reports that it could be another police scam I am reporting it to the do not call Registry.
