SCAMMERS! A real 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization would not hide their name and conduct themselves in the manner as stated by numerous victims here and elsewhere. They made a critical mistake by calling a secure WITPRO (Witness Protection) location where all incoming calls are traced to their point of origin and not by the spoof caller ID. The agency is now required to visit them.
This number just called again, my call Blocker stopped it and I never even heard the phone ring , didn't realize until I noticed there was a missed call on my caller ID, I am also filing another complaint with the do not call they need to be aware that scammers are constantly calling, if we bombard them with enough. complaints maybe they will do something about it.
Just record the "you've reached a number that's been disconnected" message onto your voicemail. I google every number I don't recognize and report BS like this. It's a shame it's come to this but here we are.
I knew where the area code was from so I picked up. It took over a minute for someone to come to the phone. Was looking for a pledge for a police organization. I told him since there was no identification on the id that I did not want to be bothered and the call was a scam.
