I too was selling a wedding dress and the buyers name was "Chris". This individual clearly did not know English. When I asked if they were local, "Chris" responded "I am disabled". I got the same story about how they were in an accident that left them disabled but the Wedding is still on. They wanted to send me a cashiers check and needed to have the dress in a hurry. I knew it was a scam but had to google the number for myself! Scam, Scam, Scam
I also got a message from a Jessica Mc Carthy saying she was in a accident claimed to be a deaf/mute who was disabled from a car accident too wanted to send cashiers check from NY for my dress Beware SCAMMER !!!!
This is a VoIP line registered with Bandwidth.com. The scammers pretend to be deaf so you won't call.
And of course there is no "shipper." They don't want your item, just your money.
I just posted an item to craigslist and not ONE person texting me was legit. I received 5 (yes 5) different phone numbers different area codes, all saying their name was penny and wanting the item. Then I got 2 (one was this number here posted) that said they were a mute that was in a car accident blah blah blah. One was named jessica and the other was Linda. UGGH.. it is so frustrating and a waste of my time. I want to get back at them sooo bad... somehow!! thank you for showing your numbers here..it helps alot!!
