I too was selling a wedding dress and the buyers name was "Chris". This individual clearly did not know English. When I asked if they were local, "Chris" responded "I am disabled". I got the same story about how they were in an accident that left them disabled but the Wedding is still on. They wanted to send me a cashiers check and needed to have the dress in a hurry. I knew it was a scam but had to google the number for myself! Scam, Scam, Scam

Got a text this morning about a wanting a dress I had up on Craigslist, problem is I don't have a listing on craigslist and I just got this phone number three days ago.
So I too received a text from "Chris" who claims to be from Tennessee, but in in NJ where her wedding is to be held, and wanted to buy my wedding dress which I listed on Craigslist (in OHIO). Same story--just had an accident and is mute, so won't talk on the phone, just text. Wants to buy the dress immediately, sight unseen. And wants to send a certified check and then will have a shipper pick it up. It just seemed a bit strange, so I checked on here. Clearly something funny happening. Maybe I'm just ignorant, but how would this scam even work?!? Anyhow, I won't be proceeding...
