I too was selling a wedding dress and the buyers name was "Chris". This individual clearly did not know English. When I asked if they were local, "Chris" responded "I am disabled". I got the same story about how they were in an accident that left them disabled but the Wedding is still on. They wanted to send me a cashiers check and needed to have the dress in a hurry. I knew it was a scam but had to google the number for myself! Scam, Scam, Scam
My wife was contacted by a Jessica McCarthy@hotmail & 609-358-0749 claiming to be from Winder Ga but was in NJ marring the boyfriend that proposed the nite before her accident witch left her disabled an mute ' sounding familiar '. But he still loved her and wedding was still on. Wanting to send a certified cashier check witch would be more than were asking but the extra was for us to pay the shipping company witch was her private shipping company they were helping her pick everything up for the wedding. Seams like all the bits and peaces from the above post rolled up in one. !!!!SCAM it is!!!!
CRAIGSLIST SCAMMER! Jessica from NJ trying to con me into selling her one of my dresses. She asked me questions that were clearly covered in my ad. I called her out via text and told her I k we she was a scammer after seeing this... Never got another response, go figure!
I got a text this morning from this number who wanted my wedding dress that I'm selling on craigslist. I wasn't sure about the number so I looked it up and noticed your comment about a dress and I also have a listing for a wedding dress so wanted to confirm if this is a scammer or not. I thought your comments seem the most similar to mine so I figured I would leave a reply. Please let me know where reply as soon as possible. Thank you.
Same thing everyone is saying except this time I guess the name switched from Jessica to Chris getting married and wanted my dress. He asked if we can talk... as I was at work I told him I can only text. Very quickly he replies that he can't text because he is mute...huh? Shouldn't that be easier?! And how does he text so quickly but supposedly can't text me? Anyways I didn't even reply after that as I knew this was all bs. And this was the 3 craigslist scam I've receive in response to my dress. Pretty much all stating they will mail me a check including cost for shipping and for me to give them all my info. Don't fall for it you guys!
Same thing happened to me yesterday. I deleted the craigslist posting and will never use them again. Hope no one gets taken by the deaf mute who wants wedding dresses that she has never tried on lol
