Yep, had the same issue yesterday, I live in Auburn. >:( Did anyone get blocked calls prior to recieving the number from Jersey. I accidentally picked up the phone when it said blocked and then the person asked to speak to me (pronounced my name wrong), and I said I could take a message for myself. They said, no thank you and hung up. Then they called right back with the Jersey number. Really frustrating! Neither numbers (blocked or not) left vm's which is frustrating because I have fam that calls internationally from blocked numbers. >:(
Answering a call does NOT remove your number from the Do Not Call list. Nor does it establish a business relationship with the caller. Almost all of the random calling falls into two categories: 1) uses that are exempt from the DNC law (research, govt/political, and charitable); 2) scam artists that are not concerned with following the law.
3/2, 12:51pm, fed. way, wa. i received the same number and i picked it up. it was an automated voice asking you to vote for which presidential candidate (1 for Obama, 2.., 3..., 4....). i'm pretty sure that my number is registered in the "do not call list". somehow, i have a feeling that this is a scam!
