they will get paid no matter who you actually pay. once an account is placed with an agency, all monies must be remitted to the agency. its usally their call that stimulated the payment. so your information is wrong. if you pay the agency directly, you'll get it off your credit faster. it also insures that it doesnt get forwarded out to an attorney who is just waiting to pounce. also...you have a better chance of making a settlement for a lesser amound than their asking. just saying....r8d6
