I have United Health, I have never heard this number. But I am very happy of them. Price is good and what they is really good. I only get call from them is shots, Wellcare.
I do have UHC (for now: most likely dropping it next year) and got a message on my answering machine. The voice asked me to confirm I was myself but since I wasn't home there was no response and the call cut off. I don't know why they called, but based on other reports it was probably a reminder to get a flu shot.
NOW: as for UHC itself, I've had it for years without any problem until this year. It seems a lot of docs are dropping some of the plans, mine being one of them, because their reimbursement is terribly slow. In my case, When I searched for a replacement doc, every one I located on UHC's web site turned out to be a no-go: no one is working with them in my area. I basically have coverage, but no doctor. Not good.
I was just called by a supposed united healthcare. When I said hello, the automated voice stopped what it was saying and started over again a minute later. They were calling for a Jeannette Sullivan and I am not her. I do have this insurance but they already have my name and number in their system
I get the flu shot, every single year. But nevertheless, United Health Care calls me (multiple times?) whether or not I've gotten a flu shot. YES, United Health Care. I have gotten a flu shot, I tell them. Now please leave me alone.
