I received a message from Martin Riley of Capital Providence today. The person they asked for had my last name but the I've never heard of the first name. They also said there is a civil suit attached to his ss#. Such a scam! The number was 718-450-9204. They have also been calling my mother for months. Mom also just received a call about her computer. What the hell can we do about this harassment?
I too got a message from Martin Riley from CPM (guessing capital providence something) claiming there's a civil case against me. I got the call around noon but they did not leave a message. Then my wife got the call and got the message asking for me. The number they called from was 714-310-3318. At first I got scared because I do have debts (been unemployed) but something told me that it just didn't seem right the way they're going about collecting a debt so I thankfully did a bit of research first before contacting them. Do a bit of research first before falling for this f*ckers. Thank god for sites like this one

Jes, it is FAKE! I just got a call from (612) 440-4284. Same scam (Martin Riley Investigator), same scum, same s*$%! They are being more bold in trying to ripoff hard working people like you and me with some fake a-- shakedown on a mythical debt. Don't believe the bullying- they will eventually be caught. And best believe that the AGs of ALL the USA are on the watch!!
Annoyed- I received a call on my cell phone with the same message but the incoming number was (612) 440-4284, same message as the one you described in your post. I called back the number using *67 and there was a voice message asking to leave a name and number. I did not leave either, but a demand that they produce a Debt Validation Letter and certification showing that they are legally registered to collect debt in my state, not to mention a few choice words.
Yes same message they have called me at least 4 times. I talked with an person who said would take my number off. I'm just going to have Verizon block that number but if like to pursue harassment charges if we could hunt down these POS.
