Called and asked me to take a 15 minute survey - she didn't know who the survey was for - I asked. I decided I would do it because I am not happy about the cost of my health insurance ($2,000/Mo. for my husband and I - high deductible). Spent 15 minutes on the phone with her and when she asked about ethnicity and I said all in my household were Caucasion, she hung up on me - Hmmmm - do they only want to take calls from minorities who are unhappy with their healthcare? Seems that if that is the case, the survey will be skewed!! The connection was terrible and I had to ask her to repeat almost every question. Terrible survey if you ask me! Who want to take a 20+ minute survey??!!
Somewhat tiresome, but legitimate, and probably valuable in terms of collecting information about health insurance policy and practice. The interviewer was courteous and professional. She had a complex set of questions to ask, and she was very patient in asking them, and repeating them when I didn't understand them on the first hearing. She provided two phone numbers: one for Dr. Kathleen Call, and the other for the Research Subjects' Advocate Line. After the interview, I called her number back, and the voicemail identified the study as the "Minnesota Health Study."
Been receiving lots of calls from this # on my cell and decided to finally block them. From what I've read above in previous posts about this #, they are calling for information regarding visitations to the U of M (medical).
My thoughts on this: 1) I really don't appreciate my # being shared for surveys without my prior consent and 2) Don't call me 3 times a week and not leave a voicemail. It's borderline harassment - and really - all this abuse of my phone for a survey? So sad.
